Footings
Holes are augured into the ground approximately 48” deep and typically are from 20” to 36” in diameter, depending on the specifications required by a licensed engineer.
On smaller structures, precast concrete pills are placed in the holes as a footing with sakrete. Posts are set in on the footing and backfilled around with dirt taken out of the hole and tamped in place.
On larger, high and wide structures, a premix concrete truck is utilized to pour concrete around the posts for stability to the structure.
