Each building is designed with the specific headers and beams needed to carry the roof
load. We choose the best material for the required load in each specific geographical area.
We predominantly use #1 Yellow Pine and Machine Stress Rated (MSR) material. Glu-Lam
beams are used when the load requirement over a doorway or opening exceeds the specs
for 2x headers. The depth of beam is determined by the width of the building, width of the
opening, and the snow load requirement.
